![]() The International Baccalaureate ProgramSt. Clement Elementary Junior High School is a fully authorized International Baccalaureate World School, offering the IB Primary and Middle Years Programs to students in South Edmonton. The Primary Years Program is designed for students aged 3 - 12. The Middle Years Program is designed for students aged 11 - 16. The IB Diploma Program, for students aged 16 - 19, is offered at our partner school, Holy Trinity High School. There are no prerequisites for entry into any of the IB programmes. It is not necessary, for example, for students to complete the Primary Years Program before beginning the Middle Years Program. There are common elements in the three programmes, however, and each one flows naturally into the next. Each of the IB programmes promotes the education of the whole person by emphasizing the student's intellectual, personal, social and emotional health. In keeping with their reputation for academic excellence and innovative teaching strategies, the IB programmes also emphasize knowledge and studies in the major traditions of learning - languages, humanities, sciences, mathematics and the arts.

[ top ] The IB maintains strict standards in terms of how its programs are delivered in schools around the world. Each IB World School has a responsibility to meet IB standards in terms of delivering the programs as well as to annually publish the IB General Regulations and Rules and to make them available to parents:
